HOW TO BE A HEPBURN IN A HILTON WORLD: The Art of Living With Style, Class, and Grace
By Jordan Christy

I think it's important to tell you who Jordan Christy is. Jordan is a publicist for Warner Bros. Records and has worked with many artists and celebrities. She has also written for fashion magazines and music trade publications. In other words, Jordan is on the front line to witness the impact on young women of the fashion choices made by celebrities.

In a society driven by "celebutante" news and MySpace profiles, women of class, style, and charm are hard to come by. The Audreys and Katharines of the world continue to lose their luster as thongs, rehab, and outrageous behavior burn up the daily headlines. But despite appearances, guys still want a girl they can take home to mom, employers still like to see a tailored suit, and peers still respect classy conduct.

This little book is filled with fun assignments, notable names, and real-life examples combined with "old fashioned" advice. The book covers everything from diet, speech, work ethic, friends, relationships, manners, makeup, and fashionable yet modest clothing, to showing modern young ladies how they can be beautiful, intelligent, and fun while retaining values and morals.

Of course I really thought the advice in the book would be valuable to any young woman who finds herself "exposing" more of herself to the world, whether in person or on-line, than she really should. What do you think?
